Admission to Ph.D
Eligibility Criteria for admission to Ph.D. Programme:
Candidate who has completed 2-year/4-semester Master's Degree after a 3-year Bachelor's Degree or qualifications declare equivalent to the Master's Degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body in the subject of Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Environmental sciences, Biochemistry shall be eligible for admission. The candidate has to obtain at least 55% marks in the General Category and 50% marks in the SC/ ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) Persons with Disabilities, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) categories. However, the following provisions are to be noted:
Important Notes
- Application of the candidates failing to fulfil minimum eligibility criteria of admission will be rejected.
- The candidate is not currently admitted as a student in any full-time course of studies or registered for doing Ph.D. in any university.
- Selection of candidates for admission into the Ph.D. programme will be made through an interview to be conducted by the Vidyasagar University
- The admission of ST, SC, OBC-A and OBC-B candidates will be as per norms.
